I started in the Fitness Industry in 1993 as an aerobics and fitness instructor (back then, there was no such thing as a personal trainer!) entering in the Australian aerobics competition in 1994, I finished third in my heat.
I travelled overseas in early 1997, working in gyms in both London and Edinburgh. In 1998, I left the fitness industry (for what I thought would be a brief stint) to work with a restaurant chain.
5 years later I returned home to Australia, where I spent the next 8 years working in the corporate world. I held the positions of Business Development Manger and later, Brand Ambassador with Diageo Australia and Bacardi, and later, National Training Manager with Red Bull. It was with Diageo that I learnt how to effectively run a profitable business model while ensuring the highest standards of service were kept with each client I looked after.
I eventually returned to the industry I had grown to love and in 2008, after studying with the Australian institute of Fitness, became a Master trainer and started my own personal training business.
While my career has shared many different paths, I would not be the person I am today, had i not worked with the Executive Leadership team within Diageo, Bacardi and Red Bull. I would not have the business acumen and I certainly could not share an appreciation for the corporate lifestyle and how hard it can be to make time for yourself. To look after your own health and fitness.

Full Time Trainer

For as long as I can remember I I have had a passion for the outdoors, exercise and leading a healthy lifestyle. Like many others after finishing school I went to university, completed a bachelor degree and got a full time job. While working at Macquarie University I also completed a Master of Management. During this time I loved training at the gym or outside with my friends. Training was my break from work and study and after a while I realised it was also the time when I was the happiest.
With this thought in mind I enrolled at the Australian Institute of Fitness to complete my Certificate 3 and 4 in Fitness and become a Personal Trainer. I think I thought that if anything I would benefit from learning interesting and useful information about human movement and exercise.
However, only 2 months after completing my Personal Training certification I left my job at Macquarie University to embark on a career in the health and fitness industry and as Personal Trainer and I have never looked back. Every morning  wake up and love going to work, it is the best feeling and I always remind myself how lucky I am to have a job that I love!I
My passion for fitness has seen me compete in many endurance events including half marathons, triathlons of all distances (including Ironman).  For me, exercise and fitness have always been about having fun and enjoying life otherwise honestly why else would you do it?! People who know me well have witnessed my enthusiasm for all things health and fitness rub off on those around me. I love to work closely with my clients to assist them to read their health and fitness goals and understand how to live a healthy and active lifestyle.
